Karissa joined Southern Hills Baptist Church staff as the Student Ministry Director in 2025. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, she has spent the past five years serving in a variety of ministry roles across the country. Karissa is passionate about discipling students and helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, while also supporting their families along the journey. In addition to her work at Southern Hills, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Ministerial Leadership through Southeastern University.
